Video: Observing the Night Sky (English and Welsh versions)

Space exploration often inspires awe, wonder and enthusiasm about the natural world.

The Faraday Institute for Science and Religion Youth and Schools Programme have compiled a video to help young people think about the role of awe and wonder in inspiring and responding to scientific exploration.

Science is a hugely valuable way for humans to engage with the natural world, and this experience becomes even richer and more exciting when we also explore the relevant cultural, historical, religious, psychological, and other, aspects of the topics and questions with which we’re engaging. This video concludes with personal quotes from astronomers and others studying space, to explore their thoughts and insights beyond the science.
