Experience a world of discoveries from your home!
Our world is full of wonderful things to explore and discover. For hundreds of years, museums have been building up collections of some of the world’s most wonderful discoveries. They help us to explore the world whilst we stay closer to home.
Visiting the London Natural History Museum is a wonderful day trip, but their website also has a range of online resources and recommendations to fuel your exploration of the natural world, including pages to help you:
- look at the collections on show at the museum;
- explore all things dinosaur;
- access learning resources and virtual workshops for different key stages;
- learn more about British wildlife, and the ‘urban wildlife‘ living in our towns and cities;
- identify nature, by downloading their identification guides or submitting photos of something you’ve found;
- or browse indoor and outdoor activities you can do at home – including how to make a nature journal to record your wildlife observations!
Check out some of our questions and resources about dinosaurs, evolution and the environment for more!
Lots of the people who have made all these wonderful discoveries thought about the world as God’s creation. How does exploring all these amazing things make you feel?
